Stéphanie Loïk

Born in 1951 from a family of comedians (she is the daughter of actress Denise Péron and actor Daniel Emilfork), she became an actress at age sixteen, alongside Michel Hermon, Denis Llorca and Jean-Pierre Vincent, before embarking on a career in staging. In 1982, she founded her own company, The Theater of Labrador, oriented mainly to contemporary dramaturgy. In 1992, she was appointed director of the Théatre de Lorraine, the Lorraine Regional Dramatic Center in Thionville, from 1992 to 2004. In 2000 Stéphanie Loïk was named Knight of the National Order of Merit because of her cultural and social involvement in her region.
