Drew Stephens
Drew Stephens was an American businessman, known for being the former boyfriend of Karen Silkwood, a labor rights activist and whistleblower. He, along with Silkwood and their roommate and coworker Dusty Ellis, were contaminated with plutonium in 1974 while Silkwood and Ellis were employed at the Kerr-McGee Cimarron Fuel Fabrication Site in Oklahoma. A dramatized account of their relationship is included in the 1983 Academy Award-nominated film SILKWOOD, in which Stephens is portrayed by Kurt Russell. Stephens died at age 45 in a plane crash.
